Welcome to the Department of Thoracic Surgery of the University Hospital of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.

As part of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, we treat diseases of the lungs, thorax, mediastinum and diaphragm. Our focus is the treatment of cancers in the thorax. Most of our surgical procedures are performed as minimally invasive operations, thanks to state-of-the-art surgical procedures. In addition to optimal medical treatment, our employees want us to "jut jeht" with our patients and make them feel at home.
