Robot Assisted Thoracic Surgery
The University Hospital Magdeburg has a robotic center, which is operated jointly by surgeons from the departments of general and visceral surgery, urology and gynecology. Since November 2017, our department performs thorax operations with the daVinci surgical robot. The three-dimensional camera images and the high-precision surgical instruments make it even easier to carry out complex tumor operations on the lungs or near the heart.
